Meet Riley

Riley joined the family just before Thanksgiving last year. We thought at first that she was a yellow lab. She was absolutely adorable and has the sweetest personality. Turns out though she has a really curly tail. It's not a yellow lab tail. After doing some research we think she is part Basenji. This is a lesser known breed of dogs that were traditionally hunters. This breed is known for its stubbornness (grrreat) and chewing (awesome). She has lived up to both of those. But she is cute. Now that she is growing, though, she is growing out of the chewing habit a little. 

We have learned that her place is the back yard and not the house. Her stubbornness with house training is wearing us down. In spite of that, we are so glad she is a part of the family. Guess we can all be a little stubborn at times.
