Terrific Tuesdays

It's so nice to have a three day weekend every week. Tuesday is a sort of Monday for me, except it isn't Monday. I don't know too many people that really like Mondays. It's so nice to just avoid them all together.

Tuesday is trash night. It's also bread ministry night. I graduated from Seminary with the guy who oversees the Manna Ministry, a free bread pantry to seminary students. He told us we were welcome to keep coming to the ministry as long as we were in Wake Forest. We haven't paid for bread in years. That has been such a blessing!

Work is going very well. Because I have been trained in several different functions and in several different departments, I'm able to jump from one job to another in a single shift. I've been overseeing a special project over the last two or three weeks and it has been going very well. There have been rumors of promotions coming in the future, but WalMart is so unpredictable, and the warehouse is no exception. A promotion would be nice. Then we wouldn't be affected so much financially by low-volume and short hours. The days have been pretty short since the holiday rush. But we are so very grateful that we still have a paycheck to count on. Do you like this picture? Can you guess what it is? Give it a shot...it may not be that big of a challenge. Today was beautiful, the sky was so blue. A bit chilly, but enough sunshine to make up for it! Time to call it a day.
